Some more information about this Waterman pen................
This wonderful early Waterman 52 was made in New York, USA, in the 1910-20s. It was exported to England by F.D.W. (Frank Waterman) where it was fitted with 2 solid gold band rings. These are unique to the England export pens. The standard U.S.A. issue pens had gold plated bands. These model 52 are a great full senior sized pen at 13.7cm or 5.4 inch when capped. The pen itself is made of Black Hard Rubber. It is in amazing condition considering its age with no splits or cracks etc. The pen also has no, dents, scratches or bite marks. It has the full Waterman and Patent signatures on the barrel and cap. The barrel reads, PAT\'D. 1884 - MAY. 23. 1899 - WATERMAN\'S (IDEAL logo) FOUNTAIN - PEN. N.Y. U.S.A. & AUG. 4. 1903..... the Cap reads, WATERMAN\'S - MADE IN U.S.A.
The New York Number 2, 14K Nib writes with a Fine to medium fine line at normal pressure. These nibs are less sharp or paper scratchy than the extra fine examples or the cursive fine. These nibs tines end in a twist so they write on a curve edge rather than sharp point. This makes for a smooth and fluid line. User friendly nib. These nibs also have great flex that allow for line width variation. Byapplyinga little pressure this fine nib easily writes, Medium line. Add a little more pressure for Broad and Double Broad etc. Wonderful creative nib. That gives your handwriting tons of personality.

Just serviced it works 100% as when new. To fill could not be easier. Simply pull lever down 90 degree and then place nib in ink. Close the lever down flush. Take nib out of ink. Wipe excess. Done. Takes seconds.
