This is a rare, hard-to-find Wedgwood Black Jasperwarecylindricallidded jar, designed byRobert Minkin in the 1960s.It isblack with a 3/4\" wide cream colored band of small flowers, geometric shapes, and lines. It has a smooth finish surface on the outside, and matte finish interior.
It is marked on the bottom with, \"Wedgwood\", \"Made in England\", the letter \"X\", letters \"HR\", and the number \"69.\"
This item is in very good pre-owned condition, with minimal signs of use or wear. There are no cracks, nicks, chips, or repairs. There is one small discolored pinhead dot on the side, and two small scuff/scratch marks on the top of the lid.
Jar measures approx. 2-3/4\" high without the lid, 3-5/8 high with lid, 4-3/4\" across the widest part of the lid, and 4\" across the base and opening.
