Weller pottery was opened in 1872 by Sam Weller in Fultonham, Ohio. They often used one shape for several lines. The company manufactured hand-decorated pottery in its early years and often were artist signed. Weller produced numerous lines of pottery between 1895 and 1945. The company permanently closed in 1948.
The Wild Rose line was introduced in the early to mid-1930\'s. The background is either green or pale orange with large branches of white roses. It is one of the more popular commercial ware floral lines. The small forms are collectible but generally do not command a lot of money. This Wild Rose triple candle holder is in excellent original condition. A very unique and special piece from this Weller line. Perfect blend of colors and design that are a distinct reminder of Florida.
Wonderful to display and perfect for your tropical sunroom. Great decorator piece. Displays well from all sides.
Exceptional candle holder in that it is undamaged, no chips, no cracks, no scratches to glaze. I cannot detect any underglaze crazing on this wonderful piece. Any non-perfections are from the firing/manufacturing process including glaze misses and glaze pops.
