Wenger SwissBuck Taskmate I Swiss Army knife (Journeyman)- new NIB vintage #5598:
$66.95

MODEL DESCRIPTION: Wenger produced SwissBuck pocket knives from 1992 to 1998, in collaboration with Buck knives. Their blades and tools were similar to standard Wenger Swiss Army knives, but they come in a special, grooved black shell with the Buck logo on it. They also included a narrower, clip point blade instead of the standard Wenger version.

The SwissBuck series is very popular with collectors: partly because of its short run and association with two famous knife manufacturers, and also because there were only 16 models in the SwissBuck collaboration (so there is hope of actually collecting them all!)

The Wenger SwissBuck Taskmate I is similar to the Wenger Journeyman model, but it has a plain blade with no serrations, and comes in a black grooved shell with the Buck logo. Model #87501. Since purchasing them, Victorinox has retired nearly all the Wenger knives with pliers. That is a shame, because Wenger really designed a better tool. It has a slip joint so it can open much wider, and is much closer to real pliers than the rather underpowered Victorinox version.

CONDITION NOTE: This one is brand new, in original packaging with a little shop wear on the corners and edges. The box includes product literature.
