This is an early 70\'s Western Electric \"Telstar\" touch tone phone. These phones are super rare and don\'t often come up on . The lucite enclosure rotates open to access the keypad and handset. This distinctive design has often been referred to as the \"James Bond\" phone. The case has some typical scuffs but overall is in very presentable condition. While these phones were a unique design, they often have issues with the retractable handset cord. This one is a bit scratchy sounding so it is likely that the kink in the cord is the culprit (see the photo of the cord). I\'m told that the cord can be repaired. The key pad works well. Again, these phones are highly sought after by telephone collectors and those who want a very unusual Mid Century item in their decor. It is sold AS IS. If the cord was perfect it would be listed several times more what I am asking.
