You are offerding on the exact Alarm Bells that you see in the photos and the video at the bottom of this description. We are not experts or collectors so please see all photos and the video below and consider them a part of the description. This Bell was pulled from the Out side of the Reading Railroad Station located in Mt. Holly Springs PA on June 26, 1966. It was purchased from the estate of the person who removedit andowned it.This unit has been tested to the best of our abilities and as you can see and hear in the video below it does work hooked up to a regular 110 Volt plug (not included). That being said, please keep in mind, we are not experts so we don\'t know if it works perfect or if in needs tuning up a little bit or adjustments made. There are a few adjustment screws it appears on the inside as you can see in the photos, we did not mess with any of these and we did not modify or clean this unit. We do not clean our items so that we do not damage or devalue them. According to the internet, The station for the Reading Railroad PH&P Branch was a small building on the Eastern side of Chestnut Street and on the north side of the train tracks. There was also a small freight house on the west side of Chestnut Street and on the north side of the train tracks. These bells would have come from one of those two buildings and were usually used as fire alarms or some other type of warning bells. I believe these Western Electric bells would have been from the 1920\'s or 1930\'s but again, I am no expert so I am not 100% certain. The body appears to be cast iron. It does appear to be all original parts and pieces. The bells themselves are round bells but either the holes in the bells for mounting are not exactly centered or the bells are slight off of round but I believe either case would have been intentional in the making of the bells as another type of fine adjustment. If you slightly turn the bells, it brings the edge of the bells that the hammer hits closer or further away from the hammer. Big heavy bell!!
