Old Butter Stoneware Crockand Lid. Decorated with embossed Whirling Log, pre WWII \"Good Luck \"designs along top and bottom edge of crock with 4large embossed Whirling Logs on sides of crock. Small raised whirling logs atperimeter of top matching those in size decorating around top and bottom edgeof crock. Most likely an early Americancrock having nothing to do with any foreign nation\'s symbol that infamouslycame along years after this crock was made. Old blue and off white in color saltglaze. One small chip and a small scuff on edge of cover (see photo). Minor common imperfections in original glazing.Size is approximately 7 1/2\" wide and 53/8\" high to top edge of crock . No bail or handle.
As Found condition fromand old NH estate. Cleaning left to the Buyer.
