A very rare Whitman coin folder for Lincoln head cents, number 2, from 1946 to 1988! This folder was made in 1948 and the first two years, 1946 and 1947 are listed with dates and mintages below the dates while the 3 1948 dates have no mintages below the date, meaning this folder was produced in 1948 before mintages were available. There are seven rows per page instead of the six that are contained in the folders which are now in production. The switch from 7 to 6 rows was made shortly after this folder was released. There is room for 1960 small and large dates from both p and d mints, 1970-s small and large date cents, as well as 1982 small and large date cents for both p and d mints. And finally the last 20 coins in the folder, 1980 thru 1988, are included in uncirculated condtion! This is a rare collectible folder in its own right in good usable condition. Of note is that the date and mintages for the first three years (1946 thru 1948) are printed in very small delicate lettering unlike the style used in current production and even earlier folders which were significantly larger. All in all a great collectible folder and a reasonalbe price, and dont forget the 20 unc. pennies at the end, which includes both large and small date pennies for the 1982 p and d issues. (note from the pictures that the protective flap attached to the third page has been trimmed back a bit.)
