Up for sale is a vintage clutch purse made by Wilardy in New York. Wilardy in New York manufactured the most exquisite and expensive examples of Lucite bags sold in fine department stores.

Beautiful lucitetortoiseshell clutch that is in excellent condition
If you look closely on the front, there are very very minor scratches, but I imagine after 60 some years, there are bound to be a few
The silver metal butterfly in the center of thepurse fronthas 5 beautiful Aurora borealis stones on each detailed wing

Stone colors are still very beautiful and have a lot of fire
The term \"aurora borealis\" is Latin and means \"Northern Lights\". Aurora borealis rhinestones are glass stones that have a special iridescent coating that shines with many colors (iridescent)
In the bottom center of the butterfly is either a small shiny stone or a tiny shiny pearl, I cannot tell

When you open the lid, it is a very tightly hinged top (has some resistance), perhaps so that items do not fall out, and there is no other mechanism keeping the cover shut
Inside is a round metal tag that reads in blue script: Wilardy
Dimensions of this beauty are; 7 ¾ inches wide by 3 5/8 inches tall

After all these years, this bag is still an exquisite piece!!!
