This Will B. Lane was originally sold with 7 sockets and 2 screw driver tips. This set is missing one socketand another is cracked but for being from 1908 that isn\'t too bad. The ratchet is called the \"UNIQUE\" and I believe it is! To change drive directions you move the wire from one side of the post to the other which rotates the \"dog\" . With this open gear you can see the condition and the condition is very nice and fully functioning .

Socket sizes are 7/8, 3/4, 11/16, 5/8, 9/16, 1/2 plus 2 screw driver tips. All are hex drive.

The next set has no maker marks but looks like a familiar New Britain set. It\'s all enclosed in a metal carry case . It uses an 8\" long Hex key to drive the 8 sockets in this set. The socket sizes are 1/2, 17/32, 9/16, 5/8, 11/16, 3/4, 7/8, 15/16. All have a knurled band around them like the early New Britain style. The are no sizes stamped on any of the sockets , I measured them . The only one I have any hesitation about is the 17/32. Seems odd by todays standard but who knows back that far sizes were really standardized yet.

Any way these are both great sets, together or separate. I wanted to keep them together since they spent the first 100+ years that way. Buy them and enjoy!
