The StoryIn this specially created image, Winnie the Pooh, Piglet and Tigger float along in an overturned umbrella in pursuit of a honey pot, as Eeyore looks on with typical gloom. The ArtworkThe Walt Disney Studios has created these character images using the fine art screen-printing process of color reproduction known as serigraphy. Disney artists, working from original animation drawings and film reference materials used for the production of the various Winnie the Pooh featurettes, specially created a hand-inked, hand-painted animation cel master which was used in the production of these sericels. A total of 24 colors are used to recreate the color image, each of which has been exactingly screen-printed, one color at a time, onto the acetate cel.Winnie the Pooh was the real-life stuffed animal of A.A. Milne\'s son, Christopher. Young Christopher Milne named his toy bear Winnie the Pooh - Winnie for a black bear in the London Zoo, Pooh for a swan that lived in a pond near the Milne home in Chelsea, England. As Milne watched his boy play with his toy bear in the hollow of an old walnut tree, he began creating stories about Christopher Robin and Winnie-the-Pooh. Today, Milne\'s classic children\'s books, Winnie-the-Pooh (1926) and Welcome to Pooh Corner (1928) are beloved around the world.
