This gorgeous handcrafted leather breastplate is made from9/10 oz vegetable tanned leather and dyed a beautiful brown. The front panelhas a an embossed design. This breastplate is made so you can put it onyourself. The buckles on the right side are functional. The first time I madearmor it took us 45 min to 1 hour in the hot parking lot to get all of thelacing done. I was hot and tired even before we entered the faire. While athome adjust the lacing to where it fits and then at the faire all you have todo are the buckles which can be done yourself. If attaching thepauldrons/gorget (from another listing) just tie the pauldrons to the front ofthe breastplate with the supplied ties. All someone else would have to do istie the pauldrons in the back which would only take 1-2 minutes. The straps arealso adjustable if one were to have a longer shoulder length. This breastplateis fully lined with black garment leather for added support and to protect thecorset (listed separately). This breastplate is all shaped and stitched by handwhich takes many hours.

Note: This is thesmallest size that the breastplate will go. With adjustment of the lacing inthe back it will accommodate larger measurements.
