Pink and Pearl Angel in Prayer.Mouth Blown ~Paper Thin Glass.Hand Painted and Silvered.Cottage Industry ~ Made in GermanyCirca: 1890 - 1910Measures approximately4 inches High.This antique Pink and PearlAngel was recently acquired from an estate. The family had a special box containing several well loved and highlytreasured heirloom ornaments.This wonderful ornament was safely stored among them. It is only because of their love and care that we can bring you this unique and special item!
This Angel ornament is over 100years old.Shehas been mouth blown, silvered and hand painted.Wearing agowninshades of pink and pearl, she kneels with hands folded in prayer.Her golden blonde hairflows beautifully onto her shoulders. The details in the glassare much sharper than those found in the contemporary ornaments of today.A pontil mark is visible on the bottom... a testament to it\'s age.
This ornament is an antique that waspre-owned and well cared for. This angelwas handpainted with organic lacquers. The surface exhibitssigns ofuse and wear with a loss of paint.Thesilvering in the upper half of this ornament hasfaded awayand offers a nice translucence for light to shine through, givinga special effect. This ornament has no chips or cracks.
