Rosary Necklace

With faceted saphiret glass beads. I have taken lots of pictures with & without flash so you can see the delightful colours.

If you aren\'t familiar with this type of glass beads they are worth researching as it is very interesting. The addition of gold to the mix created a glass of pinkish beige which also shows blue depending on the light. It was expensive to make and production ceased after a short period of time. the glass was reintroduced in the 50s and used in some of the best costume jewellery of the era. this example is Victorian.

The glass beads are 2 sizes and faceted. the cross and heart shaped piece bearing some letters seems to be rolled gold or similar and is showing wear to the surface with a bronzy colour showing beneath the surface. The cross is set wuth what appears to be turquoise.

the beads are between 5 and 7mm in diameter. the necklace is about 22-23\" long with the drop of approx 4\"

Condition: For the age the condition is very good, there no doubt will be minor wear to facets on close inspection and the aforementioned wear to metal. Please do inspect the photos as they form an important part of the description.
