This is a wonderful cotton organdy dress that belonged to those large compo/hard plastic dolls made in the 1940\'s. Might fit a lg. Shirley Temple. It is a doll dress not a child\'s dress at all. I remember my sister had a doll with a dress like this one has. It has no buttons or hooks in the back. Its very fancy and impossible to find. The condition of the dress is amazing. It was packed away on a 28 inch bisque doll for years. I think its a little later then the bisque, at the earliest it would be the late 1930\'s. Its in amazing condition. I see one slit in the dress which I show. That is lost in the many folds of the material. The dress was meant to be worn long as a gown is. It is gorgeous! There is no browning to the dress/ material any thing that you see is caused by shadows or the material it is laying on. Lots of ruffles and lace and ribbons.
