THIS SCOOP JUST IN!Here is avintageNew York Central SystemRailroadcoal shovel marked \"NYCS -4\", and \"Wood\'s Moly Steel\'d\". This has an anomaly in that the N is backward in the marking die. Note that the mark came from an integral stamp, not individual dies. An N is an easily confused letter when you\'re working in reverse like an engraver but this is the first of these I have seen. Thehandle has a traditional D style grip.Measures 40 inches long with a 11\" wide by 14\" tall scoop. Hickory handlehas had a past wood worm issue. There is theusual edge wear in the scoop from years of service and minor age checking on the grip. The steel is free of cracks and splits.Disclosures: the worming issue previously cited.
