It is at least 14k - acid tested both pin andemblem - stone could be a real gem!Antique pin ~ Tested Solid 14K Gold - looks like there may have been a name and gold mark or something stamped on the shaft but has been lost to time. It does come with an end cap clutch that is not 14k gold but is marked \"HOLD ON\" PAT No 13009\" The patent number is from 1855 so it could have been made anytime after that. I am not even sure it is original to the pin but I am including it anyway.
Measures about 1/2\" ~ with the shaft it is about 2 3/4\" - Solid 14k gold, weighs about 2.1 grams without the end cap.
The stone is lovely in person it is a deep dark blue. It has some real age on it so It could be a real sapphire! Take a chance, this is a true antique 14k solid gold pin.
