This from an Original WW1 British Army Steel Helmet liner. We purchased the helmet and the the liner was completely useless with the only item worth keeping being the ealry head cushion.Redesigned liner for the MKI helmet in 1916 with the first cushions being cloth covered as is this one. It has a split in the middle but is sound and in fair condition for 100 years,.. and a useful spare if you are rebuilding a liner. They never turn up on there own so rare.
