WW1 Swiss Switzerland Schmidt Rubin M1918 Double Edged Neuhausen Bayonet. Rare:

For sale here is a very nice M1918 Double Edge Schmidt Rubin Bayonet. The bayonet is in excellent overall condition. The right side ricasso is marked Waffenfabrik Neuhausen and the left side ricasso is unmarked. The right side of the crossguard is marked with the serial number 657958. The scabbard is marked only with the Swiss Cross on the ball of the scabbard. The underside of the quillion is marked with a circle and the Swiss Cross. The blade is nice and bright and has not been sharpened and has a nice point. There are a few nicks to the bottom blade. The blade does feature some runner marks and dried oil. The wooden handle plates are in nice condition. The crossguard and pommel are also very nice with an even bright finish finish. The button works as it should. The scabbard is very nice with only a few spots of light surface rust. There is a leather hanging strap on the bayonet. This strap is stiff, but doesn\'t seem dry and brittle. The bayonet goes into the scabbard as it should and locks into place. This is a great looking bayonet that will add to any collection. You will be pleased.
