For Sale is a vintage World War One USGI Aluminum Mess Kit, known officially via the US Quartermaster Corps as the M1918 Meat Can.

The pan has a steel handle with the manufacturers stamp at the end, which reads:

W.S.Co

1918

The slightly deeper M1918 plate has an aluminum hing-point with a brass D-ring. A previous owner lightly etched the initials \'W T R\' on the bottom of the pan. This Kit is in very good condition.
