WW2 CANADIAN P-37 HOT MEAL CARRIER BACKPACK w/THERMOSES:

This is a CanadianWW2 p-37 Hot Meal Food Carrier backpack with the original aluminum thermoses included. It was designed to hold two thermoses or urns for carrying food to troops in the front lines. It is the standard P-37 web issue and is faintly marked Z L&T Ltd with the C broad arrow on the inside of the top flap. The shoulder straps also have faint issue marks on them. The bottom fiber wood base insert is missing in addition to the web seperating the two thermoses inside. The back interior of the pack has four squares of felt padding and there is a cross strap across the inside at the top to secure the thermoses. The top of the pack has the letters R2 and 31 written on it. The pack is approximately 16\" high, 18\" wide, and 10\" deep. The thermoses are both marked G.S.W. Canada, MkII, 1944 on their front. They are in very good shape with just one small dent on one. Their enamel lining and rubber seals are intact but I would not recommend actually using them for actual food storage. These sets are extremely hard to find like this one. It would look great in a display or vehicle kit or for reenactments. Item sold as is and decribed to best of my ability.
