WW2 Japanese Katana NAVAL Historical Samurai Officers SWORD Kai Gunto

Nice Naval Officers sword brought back by a US Naval officer during World War Two in the Pacific Theater. The Hamon is visible but hard to photograph please check back. The blade has a slight bend to it about 3/4 of the way up when look down the blade. There is also light surface rust as seen. It has been in a closet in dry New Mexico since 1946. The scabbard or Saya may not be original it is lacquered wood damaged, and missing bronze pieces and is consequentially it has taped by the grandson of the gentleman\'s estate.
