Original WWII fixed bale M1helmet with a original paintedgreen camouFlage pattern. I don\'t know where thisparticular helmetwas used but I have seen similar camouFlage patterns used by 1st Infantry Division soldiers in Normandy on their helmets and field jackets(see pictures). The helmet has early khaki chinstrapswith brass buckles and a heat stamp number of 161A. There are also two holes on the front that were probably used for placing officer rank insignia. A very nice original helmet.
