WWII US 8th Army Air Force Pilot Jacket - All Bouillon Insignia - Named, But...:
$250.00

Really beautiful WWII US Army Air Force officer\'s uniform. All bullion insignia - 8th Army Air Force SSI, collar insignia, PUC, rank, o/s bars, and wings with top-hat clutches (see pics - these wings look to have been there for a looong time). Even named in the pocket......except that officer, Paul Deneroff, was a dentist who served stateside (the research from The NPRC is included)! I have hit a wall on research. My guess, which I have been unable to verify, is that his brother (or cousin, perhaps) was a WWII pilot who got one of the dentist\'s uniforms to trick out for wear after VE Day. Paul Deneroff\'s file lists his home address in Bronx, NY. NARA lists an Alfred Deneroff also of Bronx, NY. My guess is they are related, and that Alfred was the pilot. Maybe if I were better at research I could nail thus down, but, alas.

navigator uniform jacket. Great clutchback navigator wings with top hat clutches. Exhibits fairly light honest wear, with a few dings here and there, some loose sewing, etc. The US devices appear mismatched but all the insignia displays great with a sharp patina.

Great item that would look great in a WWII display!

PLEASE note the following conditions of this listing:

First, I’m not a dealer, liquidator, or a business. I’m a collector who is passing on stuff to others. I have a real job and a family that occupies most of my time. So please bear with me if I don’t immediately respond to questions, etc.

Second, these items are historical artifacts, not Halloween costumes, etc., so I cannot take returns because the item doesn’t fit you, etc.

Third, you MUST carefully review each photograph and ASK ALL QUESTIONS BEFORE offerDING. The item is not “not as described” if some attribute is depicted in the photographs and you later disagree with my description in some way. For example, if I say the item is in “nice condition” and you only think it’s “good condition,” that doesn’t mean the item is mis-described – it means we have a difference of opinion. I’m trying as hard as I can to honestly describe these items, and with ’s new policy that the seller must pay for return shipping, we need to be on the same page so I am not financing free, in-hand tire-kicking for everyone.

Fourth, please pay within 4 days of the sale closing. If you do not pay within that period, I reserve the right to issue a second-chance offer to the next-highest buyer or re-list the item.

Finally, as to international buyers – FYI – international shipping is rather expensive. Depending on the price or size of the item, it may have to be sent priority, which is even more expensive.

Sorry for all the fine print, but I’ve run into a few bad apples and want to make a few things clear from the get-go. Thanks!
