X Large Antique Victorian Carved Signed Shell Brooch Full Figures Cupid & Psyche:

Youare offerding on a very old and extra large Sardonyx shell cameo brooch thatfeatures full figures of cupid & psyche in the air above a village. The brooch measures approx. 2 7/8” x 2 1/2\" x 1/2\" deep. The cameo itself measuresapprox. 2” x 1 5/8”. I have added a coin in one picture so you can gauge the large size. The setting is missing 2 decorations one on the top & one on the left but the hinge & clasp are in good working order. The shell is signed by the carver on the back, is very stable, and is secure in the bezel with no movement. I gently cleaned the item under water but will leave additional cleaning up to the buyer.
