XLarge 22\" Vintage Mexican Folk Art Carved Wood Spanish Conquistador Guerrero:

This very unique, vintage Mexican folk art piece has incredible detail.  It is a hand-carved, giant head of a Spanish Conquistador.  It came from Guerrero, Mexico, where they call them Barbons (or bearded men). Everything is amazing -- from the Spanish crown to the eyes, nose, mustache and beard.  A ton of detail in the carving.  The eyes are either glass or a heavy, realistic-looking plastic, I can\'t tell.  It measures 22\" long.  It is carved of a tropical wood a little lighter than pine, so shouldn\'t be a problem hanging on your wall.  There is a rope in the back for hanging it.  My originating source estimated it to be around 40 years old.  It is in excellent shape, with no chips, cracks or other issues.I have another conquistador/mermaid carved in the same style from the same source, also estimated to be over 40 years old.Sorry about the shipping cost.  It is a large, bulky piece and will come in a large box to protect it .
