Extremely rare 1941 Official Bronze Inaugural Medal (type 1) struck for President Franklin D. Roosevelt\'s historic 3rd Inauguralby renowned sculptor, Jo Davidson. From research only 1000 original Inaugural Medals were struck at the US Mint for President Roosevelt. The 1941 Official Inaugural Medal is unlike any other year in that it was designed and struck with a matt finish. This is a very nice example (very nice and original uncleaned finish and pleasing surfaces ) of this very rare original striking (type 1) of this desired \"official\" Inaugural Medal. In my humble opinion.. this example is far nicer than another example of this rare 1941 TYPE 1 medal that sold last month for over $580 here on .. Go check for yourself.

Item was acquired locally here in Washington, D.C. and originated from an old estate from someone who worked for Eleaner Roosevelt at the White House !
