ORIGINAL 19thCentury US Mint BronzedCopper Army Award Medal, originally awarded to Brigadier General James Millerfor victories at Chippewa, Niagara, and Eriein 1814. The Medal was sculpted byMoritz Furst. The obverse features aright-facing profile of the general and the reverse features a great battlescene. The original was awarded inGold. It is in VERY NEAR MINT CONDITIONwith only very tiny areas of high point rub seen under magnification. Only116 of these were struck during the 19thcentury and first few years of the 20th.
