MID CENTURY MODERN VASE BY SCHEURICH
ABOUTA beautiful and large vase - shape number 409 -51 - produced by SCHEURICH in the early to mid 70\'s. Affectionately referred to as the \"Tardis\" by some collectors it has a very pleasing form, particularly with it\'s large handle and embossed pattern, captured in a vibrant blue gloss glaze with hints of green - offset against a delicately textured light matt grey glaze to the upper and lower sections of the vase, with an inner glaze of chocolate brown.
MATERIALWhite clay and a blue / green gloss glaze - matt light grey glaze.MEASUREMENTSHeight of vase ca. 51cm/ 20.07\". Diameter of vase ca. 23cm / 9.05\"CONDITIONThe vase is in overall good vintage condition with no externally visible cracks - there is however, a hairline crack which is only visible from the inside which might only be a crack to the glaze - it is not seeable from on the outside glaze of the vase. there is also a small chip, the bottom of the vase (please see photo #1) which, in our opinion, does notdetract from the overall beauty of the piece.Important noticeThe sale price does not include any customs and excise - please check your countries import and export charges and taxes.Our ServiceWe take extra care when shipping items and build our own custom sized wooden boxes, when necessary, which are foam lined to ensure that our items reach you safely and securely.Remember, you are buying a piece of classic Mid-Century, German made pottery.
