This hand tooled and painted purse is without a doubt a one of a kind. It is embellished w/ synthetic ivory elephants. It was purchased in Italy, in an antique shop, in 1996. The paintings on the purse are Egyptian people, serpents, peacocks, and hieroglyphs. I was told it is from the 1930s. The inside has a mirror and a zipper and small compartments. the inside is in perfect condition. I only carried it twice to very special occasions and people admired it. The rest of the time, it sat on a display shelf in our home.
