ZEPPELIN 1912 RARE BRONZE MEDAL
For FUND DONORS MEDAL for NATIONAL FLUGSPENDE 1912 by LAUER [NURNBERG] with his signature on it..
HISTORY:This medalwas given to donors whohelped Count Zeppelin rebuild after the disaster of the loss of the LZ4 and created by Lauer of Nurnberg. A lottery was started in Germany by the King Wilhelm which helped the Count, as well as some very wealthy otherfriends, such as Berg, who owned an aluminum factory and he supplied the aluminum girders for the new Zeppelin free of charge. This medals were given to fund donors. It is about 27mm of just a bit over an inch in diameter with a loop for wearing.
