This is a very exquisite brooch. It is sterling silver, mother of pearl, and fossilized bone.

It depicts a warrior woman. The face is carved with stunning detail.

Sterling hair and head dress cascades down over the mother of pearl breast plate.

On her shoulder is a circular semi-precious stone which also has sterling cascading down.

The face is carved from fossilized material

Triangular area is made of shell, most probably nautilus, with green and pink highlights.

Measures 2 1/2 inches from top to bottom and 2 inches at the widest point.
