Zeiss Ikon Ideal 250/3 Folding Plate Camera. SN:258646.C:1927-38. (Post Ica version). This Zeiss double extension camera has the F/4.5 Zeiss Tessar 120mm lens fitted. It is in fine condition and the Compur shutter functions. The spirit level bubble is intact and the shutter fires at all speeds but not tested for absolute accuracy. This is quite an advanced camera capable of producing excellent results. It has rise and fall adjustment and fine focus adjustment via the knurled knob on the drop folding plate. The nickel plated parts are excellent. Bellows are superb too. Brilliant viewfinder clear and nice to use. At the rear of this camera is the viewing hood that is also in excellent condition. It has little drop down flaps to keep the hood rigid that I think is a nice touch. Covers generally excellent but rubbed in places. A well cared for example.
Condition Notes:Possibly the quick view finder is missing. See image 5. Some tiny mounting holes indicate one was at some point present.
