The Zenith Royal 7000 is a single-conversion,
AM/FM/SWportable receiver that runs on
9 D cells or a built-in multi-voltage supply.Aswith most analog sets that run on D cells,
by the time the batteries areexhausted
you probably won\'t remember when you
last replaced them…battery lifeis measured
in the hundreds of hours with modern alkaline cells.The radio offers a built-in BFO for SSB reception,
a tone control, twobandwidths, lighted dial and
map lights and a total of 9 reception bands,
including VHF weather.

Other features included a strong handle independent
ofthe huge whip antenna, improved
chrome plating to eliminate the pitting
problems common on the earlier models,
and an improved battery compartmentdesign.Some claim this model hasthe best audio
of the transistorized T-Os

This Radio is inExceptional Condition for it’s Age.Onlyminor pitting is barely
visible onthe chrome edges.Battery compartment shows a small rust stainfrom
battery issues, but DOES NOT AFFECT functionality.
Dial light and Chart light need New bulbs.Logs and Charts are included and NOT writtenin.
All has been tested. FM worksflawlessly,
too much interference and no external
antennae made it verydifficult to
pull in anything on the other Waves/Channels.
