A VintageOld World Christmas Collectible!

Transportation items were extremely popular at the turn-of-the-century with the dawn of automobiles, people’s fascination with the zeppelin and the Wright brothers’ first flight in 1903. This is evidenced by this wonderful reproduction zeppelin ornament. From Merck Family’s Old World Christmas comes “Zeppelin”. This vintageOld World Christmas collectible has a retired catalog number of #467265. It is in \"new\", mint condition from The Holiday Shop of Saratoga Springs store stock.“Zeppelin” measures 3”. Ithas apropeller made of gold lomenta and agold cord for hanging.

Using an antique mold, this exquisite ornament was painstakingly mouth-blown into a mold one at a time. Once the ornament cooled, a solution of hot liquid silver was poured inside, giving the ornament its shine and reflectivity. After this stage, the ornament was carefully hand-painted. Finally, the long stem was carefully cut and the distinctive star cap attached. It took approximately seven days to create this heirloom quality ornament!
