This is a very nice quality antique early to mid 19th century handmade bronze and enamel Russian icon.It\'s a gorgeous solid bronze clean casting of the Virgin Mary and baby Jesus.the background is done with hand laid blue and white enamel and still very present.it has stunning trim detail and the with heavily embossed Russian lettering/symbols.it is made from thick bronze and has acquired a nice patina from age.measures 2 3/4 inches by 2 1/4 inches.in nice antique condition, normal ware from age.
