This is a stunning antique handmade 19th century handmade Victorian sterling silver and enamel lipstick holder/ mirror case.it is made completely of sterling and has some nice weight to it.the whole piece is beautifully engraved by hand with stunning floral and scroll detailing.there is a very small hand paintedfigural scene done inenamel at the top.it is painted with many different colors and extremely detailed depicting a male and female lying with animals under nice foliage.right on the side is a hand cut and polished blue lapis stone which doubles as a handle.when slid outward itopens the spring loaded mirror which is under the figural painted lid.it is in nice condition.the end pulls out and is the piece that holds the lipstick.thelipstick is operated also buy the lapis stone handle.the piece is in exquisite condition andmeasures 2 1/4 inches long by 1 inch wide.
