Bronze cat inkwell.
Marked to the base as shown.
Markings are impossible to read but I believe this to be a vienna bronze
I believe this is an antique item , dating to arround 1900.
I have tried to find another example the same and although there are a few cat inwells, I have not been able to find identical to this so have based the price on other similar sized pieces.

I would be happy to hear from anyone who may have more information.there is wear to the gilding
and some residue of polish where it looks as though someone has tried to clean this.
We have left it as found
some minor scuffing and a couple of tiny dings to the edge of the base
generally, this is in very good condition for age
hinge still works well
eyes are handmade and original to the piece even though one is slightly large than the other.
I think this gives him a quizzical appearance, as though he has one eyebrow raised.
