GERMANYThis is an attractive pair of WMT Secessionist Art Nouveau burnished brass candleticks - they were produced in a brass finish as well as silver plate finish These have a great dark patina - all I have done is to give them a light clean rather than a deep polish (it has taken over 100 years to acheive this patina)Obviously there are some bumps and dents around the base but as can be seen by the pictures they display really well - sold \'as is\' used condition and as pictured.
10.5 inch 27cm tall 4 inch 10 cm base
Has the Beehive/Pelican mark with WMF over G and the number 44 on each base= 1909 - 1914 Made for export to France
Marked by the ostrich and two inscriptions \"WMF\" and \"G\" (Geislingen an der Steige) in a rhombus, placed in hatched arch.
Note the simplified shape of the \"F\" letter.The size of the arch varies from 1.8 x 2.4 mm to 3.7 x 5.2 mm.
