A panoramic c.1900 English School oil on canvas of a countryside landscape with a mansion in view, housed in an antique gilt frame of similar period. The work is in a good condition overall. The canvas,which is unlined, has a restoration to a small vertical tear in the lower centre but is difficult to notice in ordinary view. There is also a diagonal scratch and a small area of paint loss near the upper right corner. The canvas also shows some dirt, toning and very fine patterns of craquelure in some areas.
