a.k.a. \"Coquette\"

Idealor Effanbee

Both companies -- Ideal and Effanbee -- made similar dolls around the same period. This doll has a composition head and all-cloth limbs.She measures 13\" from head to toe. There is a mark on the back of the neck (2nd photo), but I can\'t make it out; perhaps you can.

Outfit consists of dress, slip, and single-piece \"bloomers\"-style underwear.

I bought her from a lady who said she was passed down from her grandmother, and that she believes the doll and dress are all original as her grandma had her as a child.

Condition Details - PLEASE READ:

Here you have my best good-faith attempt to disclose all noteworthy issues. Keep in mind, though, that vintage/antique items always show their age -- (Don\'t we all!?) --so please expect that there will be something about this item that\'s not perfect. Even if it\'s \"mint\" or \"new-old-stock,\" it will still be somehow touched by Father Time.

What you\'re buying comes from a non-smoking Environment. No bad odors (smoke/pets/dampness/etc.).

- Everything in original antique condition -- definitely played with.

- NOT falling apart, but plenty of \"chippy\" patina on head, small stains/tears/soiling on clothing (could use a needle and thread).

- One small hole in back of head (see final photo) ... I don\'t know whether something attached there, or if it\'s truly \"damage.\"

And then, when they realize they\'ve ruined the doll, they return it saying it was defective. Or else they keep the doll and demand a \"partial refund\" based on the alleged defect -- which is another trending scam on .

I sell these dolls for a living, so ...My sincere apologies to you -- the honest majority of buyers --that I can no longer afford to accept doll returns. (Of course, shipping loss or damage is a different matter; that is fully covered by insurance.)

BUT HAVING SAID ALL THAT ...

I do bend over backwards, attempting to disclose any noteworthy condition issues I can find or think of. But these are antique and vintage dolls -- so, please understand that they won\'t be in brand-new condition. There will always be some minor indication of their age, and it would be impossible to itemize every single pinhead-size stain on the outfit, or hairline scratch on the body. Please expect these types of conditions with old dolls.
