Wow!! What an amazing antique light fixture!
I recently purchased this fresh from a local estate here in Southern Alabama.
This is an antique bronze ceiling light fixture with threelarge owls surrounding it.
The wingspan on each is 19\", overall with the three owls it is about 19\" diameter circle.
I can not find a mark on it anywhere. Possibly made in Austria. It dates from the
early 1900\'s, from about 1915 - 1920. It has large blue-ish green glass eyes that measure about 1 1/2\"
diameter. There is also set into fixture purple and green glass stones, stained glass.
It has original old sockets and pull chains. There are three holes that go through just under
the back of the sockets that the pull chains hang through.
The figure measures from the bottom to top of ceiling plate 16\" (not including pipe).
Overall it is in very good condition. The only problems with it is that
one of the glass eyes is missing and one piece of the purple glass stones is missing (see photos).
I\'m sure a glass maker could make a replacement glass eye easily.
The glass eyes do easily remove. The stone could be replaced also.
There are no cracks or repairs to bronze frame. It has original finish and patina.
It looks like someone rewired it in the past but I would suggest that you have it
professionally rewired.
