Circa 1870 Egyptian Revival (Renaissance Victorian) parlorchair, solid rosewood, Carpathian Elm burl panels, probably Pottier &Stymus, NYC, excellent paneled and leaf carved crest and cartouche with carvedlady’s head, palmette finials, rosettes and incised carving on stiles and bowedskirt, canted front legs with Classical anthemion leaf, fluting and greatcarved hairy paw foot, oval upholstered back panel above reticulated carved splatwith palmette and stylized tassels.
43” tall, 20” wide, 24” deep.
