A rare and very early cloth/linen children\'s book, and notable illustrated Victorian edition of the famous nursery rhyme collection \'Mother Goose.\' Measuring 7.75 by 6 inches, the book is printed entirely on hand stitched linen, with color covers. Peter G. Thomson was active as a printer, publisher, and bookseller in Cincinnati from 1877 until 1889; it is likely that this was printed in the earlier portion of this date bracket, based on illustration styles.
