A personal collection of Victorian sheet music in a folio-size fine binding.Twenty individual scores for pianoforte and voice, most retaining their own highly decorative frontispieces (and some retaining publishers\' catalogues), bound together in one volume with a personalised, pencilled-in table of contents. A handsome insight into the concert hall and drawing-room music of the late 19c.

CONDITION

Bound in half-calf with marbled paper boards. Lovely green calf with gilt embellshiments and stunning marbled colours. Marbled edging. Rubbed throughout. Worn to corners of boards, and along joints. Internally, generally firmly bound (with new pastedowns). Front hinge ever so slightly tender. Pages dusty and occasionallymarked by handling,but clear save for light foxing to blank end pages.Overall: GOOD.
