AGNES antique china head doll. \"Pet Name\" doll by Hertwig. Sweet face with painted features. Made in Germany. Molded black curly hair with low brow. Dates around 1895. Name AGNES in gold is on the front of shoulder plate. Original leather body. Nicely dressed. Measures about 15\" tall. Head and shoulder plate are in good condition. No chips or cracks. Normal wear to the black on the hair. Good face coloring. Blue painted eyes. Body has a kid leather torso, arms and thighs with cloth lower legs. I have not taken off the pantaloons or the stockings. They are stitched in place~pantaloons are very tight around the calf ( I am guessing to keep the stockings in place). Leather arms are hanging by threads off the shoulder. They\'ve been repaired a couple times. Forearms and hands are replaced. Nicely dressed. Agnes wears a silky pink dress with lace at the bodice and trimmed in blue. Buttons in the back with tiny pearl buttons. Underneath, an organdy embroidered petticoat and pantaloons. The clothes are in very good condition. They were made for her and fit her perfectly!
**This doll was part of a local doll lovers collection! She was a true \"old tyme\" collector! She collected everything doll related and inventoried it all in many many albums. I\'ll be including the inventory page for this doll. It\'s just a neat piece of her history!
