When I was in the Boy Scouts with my twin brother, in troop 39 Plattsburgh NY about 1960, we despaired of ever getting inducted into the order of the arrow, as only one person was selected from a troop. Of course, every thing was secret, and we waited with the rest of the camporee scouts on the side of a hill at night in front of a bonfire, as boys dressed as Indians with clubs ran up and down the aisles yelling and chanting. I was so nervous I wet my pants as we had been told that we might be knocked out if we were selected. Both my brother and I were selected that night and we joined the Loon Lodge, and received this coveted patch which could never be traded. This is why you do not see them for sale very often. Fifty six years later I saw one sold on and sold mine on . This is the second and last of these patches that I have for sale. This belonged to my twin brother.

Loon Lodge was chartered in 1947. The totem is Loon, which is a native bird. The council is Adirondack located in Plattsburgh, New York. The lodge merged in 2007 with Haudenosaunee No.19 to form Kittan No.364. Loon Lodge No.394 flap is known as \"broken neck.\" Light green \"cut\" border, white background with red lettering.
