offered is a fabulous late 1920\'s or early 1930\'s art deco figural miniature \"motorcycle\" pocket petrol striker lighter. the nickel silver plated lighter is a mini version of a german 2 passenger motorbike. the woman on back pulls out to reveal the striker wand which is then struck against a flint strip on the underside of motorcycle. the back wheel has a small loop to use for vest pocket chain attachment. the lighter is marked drgm [patented in germany] and most likely made by pirona and is alpacca. alpacca is a nickel silver finish resembling silver. pirona of germany were important makers of miniature figural striker lighters including airplanes - ww1 tank - zeppelin - motorcycles - soccer ball - violin - etc with the \"motorcycle\" being the one of the most important. the lighter measures about 1-7/8\" long x 1-1/2\" tall and is in good to very good used condition. the woman however is missing the bottom portion of her leg which may be fixable. there are some typical small use nicks that do not really detract. the slightly bent flint strip has about half an old flint which can be removed. a new wick and flint would be required for use but i am selling \"as a collectible\". the wand does not sit fully into body which may be correctable. the unusual \"motorcycle\" lighter is very showy and would look wonderful with any figural pocket striker lighter or figural \"motorcycle\" collection. overall - an important vintage art deco novelty \"motorcycle\" striker lighter for your collection. the striker is a great conversation piece! usa first class cost includes insurance. overseas is registered first class airmail except SHIP COST to italy-china-HK-southeast and mid asia-vietnam-thailand-indonesia-Eastern europe-russia-philipines-greece-turkey - mexico - mideast via express mail only-$66. please make sure to read my vintage lighter articles on the internet and in blaze lighter magazine. i combine shipping. **please view all the vintage lighters-ronsons- dunhills-and 20th century deco i offer on . please email questions-thanks.
