This is a very large antique hand carved wood religious Virgin Mary and baby Jesus sculpture.It is completely cut by hand with an abundance of nice detailing and has acquired a wonderful patina from age.Mary is draped with a nicely carved robe and holds baby Jesus in her left arm.she stands on a circular base which is all carved fro the same block of wood.itmeasures 18 1/4 inches tall by 3 3/4 inches wide.in nice condition and is a blessed piece.
