A nice quality souvenir \'Stratton\' brand ladies powder compact.Sold on board the Union Castle round-Africa liner m.v.DUNNOTTAR CASTLE built 1936.
Sold 1958 and extensively rebuilt as the cruise liner VICTORIA for Incres Line and later Chandris.Size 3\" diameter.Gilt casing, the cover bearing a full colour portrait of the liner.All clasps, catches, hinges,and mirror in very good order.Evidence of light use, the underside having light handling marks.Very good original condition.
